A Little More About Dacha Works
Since the brand’s founding in 2009, Dacha Works has been an incubator for novel approaches to improving mobile computers. Given the Apple® iPhone’s unsurpassed touchscreen interface and diverse “app” ecosystem, Dacha Works currently focuses its product development for that platform.
Founded by an artist who was frustrated by handling the iPhone as a camera, Dacha Works approaches case design by upgrading the form factor of the iPhone itself. Module improves how the iPhone feels in your hand, and makes your grip feel secure.
Module’s surface has a clean, shiny and strong feel- similar to the existing iPhone’s back.
With Module, we dynamically change the way iPhone accessories are understood, and open wide a new market of use-driven form-factors.

The Module SmartCase is made from high-quality durable plastic, while measuring only 1mm thick. At just 4 grams (1/8 oz), Module is almost imperceptibly light.
Despite it’s thin profile and feather-weight, Module is engineered according to exacting specifications, to firmly enclose your iPhone while retaining the slim overall profile of the device.
LeverRidge
The primary design element of the Module case is its LeveRidge, a continuous feature nestled in the tapered space of the iPhone’s back. LeveRidge greatly improves handling and reduces the effort that fingers expend while holding, balancing, and leveraging an iPhone using a traditional case. This leads to less finger stress and a better user experience.
Cut-Out
The Cut-Out on the Module’s back face gives the user’s fingers greater purchase on the device. Used together with LeveRidge, users can take photos and video one-handed easily for the first time using the iPhone.
Front-Face Waves
These four features improve handling, and also helps to protect the iPhone’s metal bezel and glass face.
